Rob has worked in the Prince William County School system for the past 16 years as a teacher and head coach of numerous cross-country and track teams. Rob is one of the most successful distance running coaches in the nation. His teams won 14 Cross-Country state championships, he has had five nationally ranked high school teams, and he has coached multiple All-American and All-State athletes. He is the founder of three local youth running camps with more than 300 participants. Rob resides in Bristow, Virginia with his wife, Unhui, son Robbie, and daughter Emma. |
Jason is a graduate from the University of Maryland where he was a letter-winner in track and field. He competed in the 400 hurdles, the 400 meter dash and the mile relay. He has coached several all-state high school athletes and collegiate athletes in the hurdles, high jump, and sprints. Jason is the director of our youth Track Club, and loves working with runners of all ages and abilities. Jason has finished two Marine Corps Marathons - he may have run slower than Oprah Winfrey, but he crossed the finish line standing up! Jason resides in Bristow, Virginia with his wife, Lisa, and children: Damian, Karina, Ariana, and Jameson. |

Ian attended The Ohio State University where he double majored in Exercise Science and Psychology. He was a member of their Cross Country, Indoor & Outdoor Track teams, and was named an All-American several times. Since graduating from college, Ian has enjoyed an exciting career as a professional athlete and private coach. He has qualified for the Olympic trials and has had the honor of representing our great country on several world teams. However, he admits now that his competitive nature is torn as he tries to figure out if he can beat this Alisa Harvey lady. As the Director of our adult running club, he would love see you out on a run. Ian resides in Nokesville with is wife, Asia, and their Basset Hound, Winnifred. |
Kelly began running in 7th grade after finishing the mile during the 'Physical Fitness' tests in gym class. Coach Dulin encouraged her to give running a try, so she did and fell in love with the sport! She ran competitively at Brentsville District High School all four years, was Team Captain her sophomore year, and received several All-State Honors in Cross Country and both Indoor and Outdoor Track. In addition to working at TRS she is also pursuing her college degree on a full-time basis. She resides in Gainesville with her husband Christopher, her new baby boy Xander, and her dog Daisy. |

Mindy began running in 6th grade after attending one of Coach Dulin’s track camps. She later on ran cross country and track at Brentsville High school where she won the individual state cross country title as a freshman. Now she enjoys daily long runs, half marathon races, and circuit training. Mindy loves to help customers find the right shoe so they can “Run with their dreams!” |
Jordan attended Liberty University where he majored in Kinesiology and competed on the track and cross country teams. While at Liberty he earned several conference titles and was part of the 2006 US Junior Cross Country team that competed at the World Cross Country Championships in Fukuoka, Japan. His PR’s are 3:50 for the 1500m, 14:00.13 for the 5k and 29:34 for the 10k. Jordan lives in Culpepper with his wife Leah and Siberian husky, Kira. |

Mary has been a competitive athlete all of her life. She began competing in gymnastics as a child and retired from the sport after graduating from Virginia Tech. After college, Mary began running to maintain fitness and keep in shape. The dedication and determination she learned as a child through gymnastics quickly drove her to success as a competitive distance runner. Mary is a top regional runner with personal best times of 18:15 for the 5k, 29:45 for the 8k, 37:38 for the 10k, 1:03:01 for 10 miles, 1:24:42 for the 1/2 Marathon and 3:01:36 for the marathon. She loves running and racing!
Mary is a certified Health and Fitness Specialist/Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine and a certified Running Coach through the Road Runners Club of America. Since 2001, Mary has worked with runners of all levels from beginners to Boston Marathon qualifiers. Mary is currently the Director of The Running Store's Professional Training Programs and The Running Store's Apparel Buyer. Mary currently resides in Bristow, VA with her husband Eric and two sons - Justin and Ryan.

Alisa Harvey is a Northern Virginia native. Since her high school days at Thomas Jefferson she has dedicated her life to athletics. She graduated with a BA in Speech Communications from the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) where she was the 1986 NCAA Champion in the 1500M. In 2006, she was inducted into the Lady Volunteer Hall of Fame.
Alisa was the 800 meter and 1500 meter champion at the 2007 U.S. Masters Outdoor T&F Championships, where she was also named USA Track & Field 2007 Masters Athlete of the Year. She is the World Record Holder of the indoor Masters mile (4:47.26) and holds the following U.S. Masters records: 2:07.57 for 800 meters, 4:46.29 for the mile outdoors, 2:05.75 for 800 meters, and 4:26.18 for 1500 meters indoors. In addition to the track, Alisa enjoys racing on the roads in any distance from 5K to Marathon. She is a four-time winner of the Army Ten-Miler and posted a personal best of 2:49.26 at the 1999 Richmond Marathon. Alisa is married to Les McFarling and the mother of two daughters, Virginia (13) and Kyah (6). In addition to working part-time at The Running Store, she also writes "On The Track" articles for The Washington Running Report and is a competitive Elite Masters runner.

Pam runs just enough to balance out her love for junk food. She is an avid hiker and cyclist, and has recently taken up spin to enhance her workouts. Pam has two daughters - Becky, who runs competitively, and Emily, who plays volleyball and lacrosse. Her husband, Dave, has been addicted to running for the last 25 years. Pam's focus is on running apparel and is thrilled to see TRS carrying the best selection of comfortable running clothes in the area.

Liz fell in love with the sport of cross country after watching her oldest son Matthew's first race. Eight years later and with two more sons, Ben and Eric, participating in the sport, she is still a great fan. She and her husband, Mike, have volunteered at and sponsored many racing events at Brentsville High School. She was team mom for six years (perhaps a record). After working for Prince William County Schools for ten years, she decided to do something that involves her love of running, walking, and just living a healthy and active lifestyle. |

Jared started running more than 20 years ago in his Native home of Kenya. Jared has been running professionally for 10 years in road races around the world. He has personal bests include: 10km - 28:24 (Double decker 10km MS); 15km - 42:50 (Chepkoilel 15km roadrace,Kenya); 10mi - 48:23 (Army Ten Miler, 2006); Half marathon - 1:01.59 (Saint pol Morlaix,France); Marathon - 2:11.58 (Paris Marathon)
